Advance publication of the revised terms · Scheduled revision notice: November 1, 2026 · Effective: December 1, 2026
The September 21, 2026 terms apply until the effective date.
These terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and DxTerra, a sole proprietorship operated by Sejin Kim (“Company”), in relation to location-based features of SANDOBARO Pro.
These terms apply to location-based features of SANDOBARO Pro. Plus does not request device GPS permission, and these terms do not need to be accepted solely to use Plus.

Pro receives latitude, longitude, and location accuracy from the browser or device to identify the current position and measurement points. It also uses coordinates of fields, grids, and measurement points that users designate on a map. When a member saves and synchronizes a measurement, the result, time, account identifier, project, and measurement coordinates are stored together on the Company's server. Offline and guest records are stored on the device and may be uploaded through the merge and synchronization process the user follows after signing in.
Receiving a current position on the device is distinct from retaining a saved measurement point on the server. The purpose is to manage soil measurement points and field history, not to track a person's movements. Device permission does not replace any prior consent to personal-location processing required by law.
Grid size and contributor thresholds do not by themselves guarantee anonymity. External statistics are provided only after further assessment and processing so that a person cannot be identified, including by combining them with other information. Aggregation may be broadened or disclosure restricted where necessary. Use for a different purpose, or disclosure to a third party, of data that remains personal location information requires the applicable legal basis and procedures.
1. Locations linked to measurements: Retained from saving a record for the period necessary to provide ongoing storage, retrieval, and comparison of records by point and session. The relevant personal location information is deleted without undue delay at the earliest of deletion of that record, withdrawal of the relevant consent, account deletion, or completion of the retention purpose, such as termination of the relevant record-management service. An account's continued existence does not justify indefinite retention after the purpose has ended.
2. Retention after the purpose ends: Personal location information is not retained after its purpose ends without a lawful basis, such as a separate statutory obligation. Where separate consent to post-purpose retention is sought, its purpose and period must be disclosed again and remain within the limits permitted by applicable law.
3. Location-use and disclosure records: Confirmation records under Article 16(2) of Korea's Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information are automatically recorded and retained for six months, then deleted. Where consent is withdrawn under Article 24(4), personal location information and related confirmation records within the withdrawn scope are deleted without undue delay.
4. Deletion methods: Electronic information is deleted so it cannot be recovered or reproduced; paper records are shredded or incinerated. Recycle bins, snapshots, and backups do not by themselves justify extending retention of personal location information due for deletion. Restoration procedures must prevent such information from being reintroduced into ordinary service use.
The Company does not disclose personal location information to third parties without prior consent unless a specific legal basis permits it. Before operating a consent-based personal-location disclosure service, the recipient and purpose must be disclosed and the required consent obtained. Disclosure notifications must be made as required by law. General acceptance of these terms does not replace those procedures.
The regional statistics described in Article 3 may be provided to approved partners, businesses, and government or public institutions for soil distribution analysis, agricultural research, and policy development only in a form that does not identify a person. Statistical use does not justify keeping the original personal location information after its retention purpose has ended. External map services and international transfers are addressed in the Privacy Policy.
Users may withdraw all or part of their personal-location processing consent or request a temporary suspension of collection, use, or disclosure at any time. They may also request access to location-use and disclosure confirmation records, the reasons and details of third-party disclosures, and correction of errors. A legal representative or duly authorized agent may act on their behalf.
Requests may be submitted through the relevant app functions or info@dx-terra.com, subject to minimal identity verification. Refusing or withdrawing location consent may limit features that require it, such as location storage and maps, but does not by itself restrict unrelated features.
Withdrawing browser or device location permission stops new device-location readings. This is distinct from requesting deletion or suspension of use of existing server records. Please also request those actions if desired.
The service is intended for users aged 14 and over. Processing a child's personal location information before age 14 requires prior consent from a legal representative and the verification procedures required by law; ordinary acceptance of terms does not replace them.
Where Article 26 of Korea's Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information lawfully applies to processing for the protection of the life or physical safety of protected persons, the responsible guardian may exercise rights as provided by that Act. This does not mean that Pro offers personal tracking or emergency rescue services.
